Application Requirements and Process

 

  • A curriculum vitae or a resume must be enclosed to the application form.

  • The application is reviewed by the Application Review Committee.

  • The Committee submits the data provided together with its recommendations for or against the applicant to the Board of Directors.

  • At least 2/3rds members of the Board of Directors must review the data and vote for or against the applicant.

Membership Benefits

As an ArabSpine member, you can take advantage of many professional opportunities, with your membership you will receive access to:

  • Reduced registration fees for conferences, courses, including ArabSpine Course Diploma, and workshops.

  • Online education sources and opportunity to discuss professional issues with most experienced physicians of spine related medical fields in the region.

  • ArabSpine newsletters and magazines.

Membership Types & Eligibility

 

Active Member
  • Only MDs (equivalent education certificates accepted) with over 50% of their medical activity dedicated to the spine field.

  • Must pay the annual dues set by the Board of Directors.

Only active members may be elected to the Board of Directors.

Affiliate Member
  • Either physicians who devote less than 50% of their professional activities to spine, or nurse practitioners, or registered nurses, or physician assistants, or chiropractors, or physiotherapists, or researchers, or technical professionals, or any other health care professionals interested in spine.

  • Must pay the annual dues set by the Board of Directors.

Emeritus Member
  • Individuals who has been beeing a member with a good reputation among the Association members for at least fifteen (15) years and now are retired.

  • Request for Emeritus Membership must be written by hand and sent to the Association headquarters.

  • Do not have to pay the annual dues.

International Member
  • Health care professionals with an interest in spine living outside the Arab world.

  • Must pay the annual dues set by the Board of Directors.

Honorary Member
  • Physicians with outstanding achievements in the field who made significant contribution to spine surgery or science.

  • Don’t have to pay the annual dues but are to demonstrate continuing participation in the Association on annual basis. They do not need to either be Arabs or work in an Arab country.

Renewal of Membership

Membership must be renewed every year by paying annual membership dues.

Termination of Membership

Membership is terminated upon:

  1. Resignation if accepted by the Board of Directors

  2. Non-payment of dues for a period of one year

  3. Dissolution

  4. Death

  5. Medical license suspending or revocation

  6. Unethical conduct
